Recently we have been working with the Royal Marines Welfare Team based in Plymouth Counselling local families and service personnel.

The welfare team recognise the diverse needs of family and friends of those  serving in the armed forces and offer a wide range of support from Community Groups to Advocacy, Counselling and more.

At Plymouth Counselling Service we are always interested in new ways to access therapeutic tools for our clients. This week we have been checking out a mindfulness app called buddhify. It is a great way of  accessing guided meditations custom-made for wherever you are and whatever you’re doing – traveling, at work, at home, going to sleep.

Had a great day on Saturday working with the Devon Counselling College Team as a Tutor again.

Really enjoyed supervising the first and second year Diploma Students and meeting some fantastic Counsellors in training and seeing some incredible skills in action !

Our Aims
Many of us have times in our lives when we feel confused and unable to cope – talking to a Counsellor may help if you are going through such a time. People find counselling useful for many different reasons – you do not have to be desperate to benefit from counselling.
Our Sessions enable you to explore difficulties or problems with a person who will listen with acceptance. It can be difficult to talk with friends or family about concerns, counselling can enable you to communicate worries or painful experiences without fear of judgement. We hope that through the process of sharing you will benefit from a new understanding of your issues and yourself.
